Are you wondering where the name Moonlit Run comes from?  For many, I’m sure deciding on a name is a difficult process.  Not so, when it came time to name our farm.

We were inspired by my first horse who found me when I was 34 years old.  I had always dreamed of horses, never thinking it was something that was in my future.  Well…I was wrong, Mickey, a 16 year old chestnut Thoroughbred came into my life and he was the most beautiful horse I had ever seen.  We had a few great years together, he taught me so much before he passed away.  He was my rock when it came to me getting over those show day jitters.  All I can say is, he just knew what to do.

Mickey’s registered name was Run Over Moon.  In honor of him, we named our farm Moonlit Run.
